Mighty hamsters invade the Gameboy Advance once again with an adventure game packed with interaction and mini-games. After slogging through an absolutely intensive primer on hamster care, nuances of the rodent and other background data, players begin the game in a pastel-colored neighborhood with a trusty dog and two pet hamsters. Once you reach home, the dog goes into the yard and the two ham-hams are deposited into a beautifully appointed living space decorated with an exercise wheel, a hut home, a drinking bottle and a chest filled with food (seeds, nuts, strawberries) and other items. When you open up the chest, the hamsters will rush over to the chest in anticipation of food - sorta like when a dog or cat hears the can opener popping open a can of Alpo. Make sure that you feed each one so that it has enough energy to exercise, run around, look adorable and generally, stay alive. When the moon rises and the hamsters are tired, they'll yawn and retire to their hut for some sleepy time. Fun, interesting and fairly engrossing, Hamster Paradise Pure Heart gets our vote for one of the better hamster raising simulations available in the Japanese marketplace.
