«©NCSX» When the Shocking Tails Gang causes a major ruckus in town, a heroic blue Slime ventures out to rescue his fellow monsters who have been trapped inside treasure chests. While crusading through the world, blue Slime discovers the Gang's secrets and eventually works to topple the operations of the hell raising crew.

Slime doesn't have anything in the way of armor, weaponry, or special items to help in the formidable quest but innate ability is its saving grace. When Slime slides across the landscape, it may perform various moves such as flattening itself out (hold A button), a short dash (hold A and move in the direction to dash), a normal bounce where it hops up, and a super bounce move where it ricochets off walls with extreme force. Slime may also stack fellow slimes and other monsters on top of itself by dashing into them to launch them up and then running underneath to catch the falling beasts. To release the creature(s), press B and it'll scoot off.

Before the main game begins, Slime may practice moves by smashing a screen dotted with brown jugs. Hurl Slime by performing the ricochet move and beat the time of 60 seconds easily. In the beginning intro, Slime tests a wand of some sort which transforms the holder into a member of the Shocking Tails Gang. Unfortunately, it's now lost somewhere when Slime needs it most. If Slime can find it again, the wand should help in its infiltrating of the Gang's inner circle. In the intro, a big pink Slime mamma was last seen taking it into her house...

B. (1): Fun and Cute...
This is a very well done game that is sortof Zelda-like its gameplay. You play as an unlikely hero, a small blue slime. The game itself is cheery and humorous while the graphics have that bright pastel look to it with very lively animation. I have to say, I'm not a huge fan of DQ, but Enix decided to venture out forth and make a rather innovative game. A shame that a translation is unlikely. *_*;
