«©NCSX» Originally released in 1987 and 1988 respectively, Atlus digs out two old Kunio-Kun games from the 8-bit Famicom vault - Nekketsu Street Basketball: Ganbare Dunk Heroes and Nekketsu Koukou Dodge Ball. In the Dodge Ball game, it's 6 vs 6 on a dodge ball battlefield where two commands are available to the shooter - a hurl move (button B) which is designed to knock down an opponent and a pass move (button A) to heft the ball to a teammate for fast moving action strategy to blow out unwary opponents. On the flipside, when an opponent throws a takedown ball at one of your players, it is prudent to press B to grab the ball before it does damage or A to crouch down to avoid the oblong missile. Dodge ball features teams from ten nations with 60 players participating in heated action. Three modes of play are available - Campaign (vs CPU), Match (vs another player), and a 4-player match.

In Nekketsu Street Basketball, Kunio-kun wins a trip to the United States but Riki and Godai sneak aboard the plane to avoid being left out of Kunio's good fortune. Once they hit the streets of the promised land, they regroup and are inducted into games of street basketball.

Players guide a team to scenic venues around the USA to compete in hoops action. Kunio crew will play ball on an aircraft carrier, at the Niagara Falls, the Statue of Liberty, the San Francisco Bridge, Las Vegas, and others for a total of 8 locales. True to Nekketsu fisticuffs tradition, punches and flying kicks may be performed on the court without fear of fouls. There's also a helicopter kick move that may be pulled off where a thug flies across the screen with whirlwind kicking power to knock opponents out. The action is 2-on-2 with a full court aboard the aforementioned venues. When a player nears the hoop, some targeting skill is required in order to perform a lay-up that scores. Three levels of hoops are attached with the top hoop earning 4 points while the bottom bucket serves up only 3. A shot at the top hoop has big earning potential if the ball drops through all three buckets for a total of 10 points in one fell swoop. As the action endures, little bothersome obstacles appear on the field to knock players off their feet or provide general hindrances.
