As a new arrival to Mineral Town, the mayor greets our heroine and gives her some starter tips on fitting in the simple life. The first task at hand is clearing a small field of rocks, wood and other unsightly detritus. It's handy when a body of water lies adjacent to the field, which allows the little girl to dump wood and rocks directly into the water instead of hewing it into dust... Once the field is cleared, seeds may be sown for crops and the game begins in earnest.
