Negi Springfield, mage in training, is in charge of 30 girl students. When some of the students get lost inside the dungeon-like library underneath the school, it's up to Negi and a few gals to seek them out and bring them back to the light. Negi navigates between the school and the 20-level dungeon, talking to students to glean information and putting that data to use. Negima and his team battle by way of cards which represent attacks, magic blasts, and other functions.
