«©NCSX» Tunnel deep into the earth and take on Pookas (round turnip-like creatures which appear to wear aviator glasses) and Fygars (Fire-breathing dragons of the wee sort) by pumping them up with an air pump. One pump fills a foe with hot air but pump thrice more and the hapless creature blows up like an over-inflated balloon. Scoring in the game depends entirely on location, location, location. Kill a creature at the lowest depths of the screen and each kill nets 500 points. Kill a beast near the top of the screen and only 200 points are awarded. Rocks are scattered randomly in each level and one may run under them to topple tonnage upon creatures in pursuit. Kill one with a rock and gain 1000 points but whack two beasts with a single rock and a score of 2500 points is granted. Vegetables periodically appear on the center of the screen from time to time for additional scoring opportunities. When a Pooka or a Fygar is pumped up before the point of rupture, Mr. Dig Dug may pass through it unharmed for safe passage. Pumping up beasts temporarily also helps to round up beasts in pursuit for group killings by way of rock drops. View a larger photo of this item.
