Demon's Souls is sold out again. We expect to restock again within the next 1-2 weeks. Demon's Souls has surpassed Metal Gear Solid 4 as our top selling PS3 game ever since the console was released a few years ago. We'll probably sell a few copies of the domestic version as well so cumulatively, Demon's Souls will probably stand in position as our top PS3 seller for the foreseeable future. Please note the Korean version of Demon's Soul is in stock and orders for the Asian version will be filled with the Korean version of the game. Based on information received from Hong Kong distribution agents last night, the next production of Demon's Souls (Asian Version) will be finished later this week and NCS should receive our complete allocation of the game by early next week. Similar to last week, our Hong Kong distributor has a customer who was not able to take their allocation of Demon's Souls so they're sending the inventory to us instead. NCS expects to restock the game again this week and all backorders will ship on Thursday. New orders placed now will also ship on Thursday but we'll update our product description when all quantities are sold. A new production of the game is still scheduled for the end of May. Another shipment of Demon's Souls is expected tomorrow and all backorders received up until May 5, 2009 at 12:01 PM will ship on Thursday. Orders received after the aforementioned time will ship towards the end of May when the seventh production of the game is released.
To avoid any confusion concerning the new inventory, please note that tomorrow's shipment is not from a new production of the game. Another batch of PS3 Demon's Souls will be available to NCS this week and all pending backorders will ship on Thursday. New orders are also welcome to ship on Thursday. In case we sell out over the course of the next few weeks, NCS still expects another production of the game in late May 2009. We're filling backorders for Demon's Souls tomorrow according to the time frames listed in previous update from April 27, 2009 which may be viewed below this paragraph. As mentioned earlier, new orders that are placed now will not ship until mid-late May when the next production of the game is finished. There is NO surplus stock being printed by Sony and it appears that they're only producing enough to fill confirmed orders from dealers. Sony Hong Kong will release the next batch of Demon's Souls (Asian Version) tonight and our shipment is expected to arrive on Thursday or Friday of this week. Please note that we are completely sold out of this week's shipment of the game and new orders that are placed now will be filled when the next batch of the game is released sometime in mid-late May 2009. Please note that the transaction processing gateway for www.ncsxshop.com is performing maintenance today (Sunday - April 19, 2009) but orders may also be placed on our second shop located at www.shopncsx.com. Update: 4:45PM EST The payment processing gateway is still experiencing issues caused by a server migration that they implemented last night. In this day and age, they still went "live" without a backup plan or redundancy and basically knocked out the payment processing for thousands of online shops. NCS apologizes for their incompetence. Unfortunately, until they're back up, they can't process any credit card transactions for our shop and we're going to lose an entire day's worth of sales. Nice one. When we called them at about 1:00PM EST, the rep told us that the issue would be resolved in "a few hours" so that could be anytime between now and tomorrow.
Update: 5:45PM EST Gave the processor another call and the latest ETA for getting the gateway back up and running is now "5-6 hours" which will make it roughly 24 hours that they've been down.
Update: 10:57PM EST The latest ETA on getting the gateway back up is 2-3 hours. We would switch processing gateway providers but we've used a few different ones through the 20 or so years we've been in business and they're all susceptible to outages, incompetence, and other drek.

Suppliers in Hong Kong have returned from the Spring holiday and the ship date for the next batch of Demon's Souls from Sony Hong Kong appears to be April 27-28 according to our distributors. Sony Hong Kong has not released the next batch of Demon's Souls yet but please note that Hong Kong businesses will be on their Easter holiday between April 10 to April 14. Due to the holiday, there will not be any news or shipments until after April 14. We will email our customers again once we receive an update but based on what distributors have told us last night, it may be another 1-2 weeks until the next production of the game is ready to ship. An expected new supply of Demon's Souls was not made available last night but then again, it was a holiday in Hong Kong. In case you're wondering, the holiday is called the "Ching Ming Festival" where citizens pay respect and visit the graves of their ancestors and forebears. NCS is now waiting for an update from suppliers when they return from the holiday on Monday. We'll also update our product description once we receive news of the new supply. Demon's Souls Second Shipment Arrives - Update: March 12, 2009
The second batch of Demon's Souls (Asian Version) arrived today and the next group of preorders/backorders will ship this afternoon. If you received an email notification already, your order is shipping today. Shipment notifications will be sent out before 6PM EST when orders are dispatched. For Yahoo and Hotmail users, please check your Junk Email folder. All remaining orders that are still outstanding should be fulfilled by next week when the third batch of DMS is released by Sony Hong Kong.

«©NCSX» A second batch of the Asian version of Demon's Souls was dispatched from Hong Kong last night and we'll be able to process and ship another group of preorders this Wednesday. NCS processes and ships preorders in the order that they were received. For example, an order that was submitted by a customer on February 20 would ship earlier than an order placed on March 8. Please note that the quantities available from distributors and suppliers continue to be spotty which may indicate a large backlog for the game in the marketplace. We don't know for sure but that's what it looks like. Although we won't we able to ship all pending preorders this week, NCS expects to be able to fill all remaining orders by next week when the third batch of the game arrives from Hong Kong. We should also be able to start accepting and shipping same-day orders for the game by next week if supplies pan out as expected.

For a long time, the demon lay dormant but when the King of Voletaria meddles with arcane arts, he wakes the big galoot known as "The Old One" up. A demonic devourer of souls now walks the land of Voletaria and its minions have overrun the kingdom. Many heroes have tried to stem the tide to no avail but your day has come. Fasten the shiny armor, take up the sword, and trudge forward into an unfriendly land where demons, animated skeletons, and soulless villagers attack. The hero of Demon's Souls is also equipped with a shield which blunts oncoming blows and glances away projectiles such as whizzing arrows from demon archers. Crowds of demons occasionally beset the protagonist like a gang which should ignite the button-mashing instinct in all gamers. Per the news earlier this week, please note that only a partial supply of Demon's Souls was shipped from Sony this week but the remainder should arrive soon. A game we didn't expect to arrive early (Ryu Ga Gotoku 3) did and a game we did expect to arrive early (Demon's Souls) didn't. The Asian version of Demon's Souls was held back for release until Tuesday but please note that vendors in Hong Kong warned us earlier this morning that the game will be very limited and there will be a major shortage this week. It appears that Sony cut shipments to vendors in Hong Kong by as much as 80%. The Japanese version which was released a couple of weeks ago was also very limited. This seems to indicate a lack of confidence on the potential sales of the game in the Pacific region. In other news, there's bountiful supply of Hakuna Matata (Asian version of Afrika) across Hong Kong. We'll post another update tomorrow once we verify what's been shipped to us. The shortage situation should be temporary. Preorders for the Japanese PS3 import Demon's Souls will ship on early March(?) 2009 for new orders. Region-Free
