Update: October 27, 2009
Bayonetta is a stylish and cinematic action game, directed by creator Hideki Kamiya and being released on the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. A member of an ancient witch clan and possessing powers beyond the comprehension of mere mortals, Bayonetta faces off against countless ethereal enemies, many reaching epic proportions, in a game of 100% pure, unadulterated all-out action. Outlandish finishing moves are performed with balletic grace as Bayonetta flows from one fight to another. With magnificent over-the-top action action place in stages that are a veritable theme park of exciting attractions, Bayonetta pushes the limits of the action genre, bringing to life its face-pace, dynamic climax combat.

The first production of the game includes a bonus soundtrack titled "Rodin's Selection" that's being given away in 50% ratio by Sega. Please note the bonus soundtrack is no longer available.

Whoa, what can I say? Haha, Bayonetta's one helluva game. Some say it's similar to Devil May Cry, and while the combat is, it also isn't. Dante doesn't have guns on his feet, and he also doesn't summon various objects to torture his enemies, nor does his outfit consist of his hair. This game is way different from DMC. It's got style - it's sexy - it's cool - it's different. The action sequences are the best I've seen in a game. And it can be very funny at times. I particularly like that the main character is just a badass. Most characters aren't. I declare this my favorite game. Oh, and the PS3 version (which I bought) has some blurry cutscenes at times, but it's way worth buying on either consoles and not waiting until January. You can even put the menues in English, and the language the characters speak in is English, too. Buy it! 5 stars/ 5 stars
