Another batch of PS3 remotes arrived today and all backorders placed prior to Dec 21, 2006 at 05:31AM EST will ship this afternoon. New orders placed after that date and time are expected to ship on Tuesday or Wednesday of next week. Since the USA version of the Blu-Ray Remote is expected to arrive wide in mid-late January 2007, we'll likely stop stocking the Japanese version after next week and after all demand has been filled.

Sony released the PS3 firmware update v1.30 last week which added Blue Tooth functionality to the console. The BD Blu-Ray Remote control takes advantage of the new functionality so viewers may fast-forward, scan, and adjust the picture from the comfort of an armchair. The button labels on the remote control are entirely in English and the Japanese remote works fine with a USA Playstation 3 console.

Please note that that the BD Remote must be enabled and registered in the PS3 software settings before it will be recognized by the console.
