The popular Rockman EXE series extends itself with a semi-sequel to EXE 4.0 which adds the ability to use Rockman battlechips through the Battle Chip Gate accessory. NCS stocks a regular edition of the game (which does not include the Chip Gate) and a deluxe edition which includes a red-colored Battle Chip Gate accessory and 5 bonus chips (4 battle chips and 1 Navi chip). Battle chips add new weapons and items to a player's hardware cache for use in the game. Additional Battle chips (and a wristband) are available from NCS. Upon starting the game, players are prompted to enter the date and time on their virtual PErsonal Terminal (PET) and select a Navi from four possible choices. We chose Roll as our Navi but Rockman would have been our second choice. Once in the game proper, email messages may be read, settings tweaked, and virtual landscapes visited. Once in the virtual world, players roam around and interact with other Navis, read BBS messages, and battle various viruses that roam the landscape. A training sequence gets players started as screen messages are explained and game tactics are detailed. New to the game is an automatic control function where your Navi evades attacks by itself. A 5-setting slider which sets the distance of the Navi during battles. The distance and battle tactics may be changed at any time by pressing down or up on the D-pad respectively. | Ok, if your thinking of getting this game; you need some sorta of japanese to english guide to help you out. Because if you want to do story mode, it's going to be difficult for you on what to do, where you have to go, who you have to fight. So find a decent stratagy guide if you want this game for story.
However, the battles in this game are pretty fun. You have this new attachment called a battle chip gate. This BCG will allow you to actually slot in real battle chips into the game helping out MegaMan when hes in a tough jam.
Also there is the matter of playing as MegaMan.EXE characters that you couldn't be able to do before. This is the first of its kind that allows you to play as different EXE characters such as Protoman, Roll, Gutsman and many more. There are 21 characters in total. But for some of the characters to be unlocked you would need the BCG.
Overall this game was GREAT GREAT because of the fact taht you could spend 2 weeks on an objective and don't know if you have completed it. So that would be very difficlt. But the gameplay is still fun. The sounds are still the same type of music from the original EXE games.
So I give this game a 4/5 stars. :D |
