Up 'n coming attorney, Phoenix Wright, knows his client is innocent of the charge of murder. However, no one else in the courtroom has his knowledge or unwavering conviction. It's up to Phoenix to prove his case by questioning witnesses, uncovering falsehoods, and highlighting discrepancies that will absolve the defendant of murder. Phoenix may also stalk out onto the field to search for clues and evidence outside the court room in a dual role as a sleuth. There's also a game sequence where fingerprints are collected and examined to verify or deny the whereabouts of a suspect. When interacting with fellow characters, the screen will shake and rumble in an effort to liven up the conversations and provide some kinetic action amidst all the talking.
