«©NCSX» NCS won't soon become a wide-scale purveyor of headgear even though the Pac-Man hat and the Taiko hat have sold remarkably well. While gimmicky hats are certainly enjoyable to look at and wear, the market for them is still a small niche. Obscure characters won't sell and there's only so many trademark owners of recognizable characters that will allow their prized properties to be turned into helmets. Disgaea is well known in gaming circles so the Prinny Headgear from manufacturer Cospa escapes the "it's too obscure" damnation but outside of gaming, it's a blue bird cap. Walk down any street in the USA wearing a Prinny hat and pretty much everyone will think its a bird hat. Some might mistake it for a parrot and the person wearing it, a loon. There might be one person in a hundred who'll exclaim, "There goes a Prinny soldier complete with bat wings and flippers!" Still, Cospa might have a seller on its hands come Halloween.
