The stream of new Gamecube software continues unabated and wimpy Memory Card 59s or even 251s won't suffice to save all the attendant game data. This should resonate most stirringly with data packrats who save everything for posterity. Enter the EMS USB Memory Adapter which holds 1019 save blocks in it's robust 64M architecture. That's not all however. Once you've filled the card to capacity, simply connect the memory card to your PC via USB and transfer the contents to your hard drive for nigh unlimited storage. An added consequential bonus of the PC connection is the new 'market' of trading game saves with players from around the world via P2P or old school FTP. The blister package includes a USB cable, the 64M memory card with USB port and a 3.5" floppy which contains the transfer software. A simple set of English instructions on getting started is printed on the inside of the cardboard backing. Due to a spate of inquiries recently, NCS tests every Memory Adapter 64M before shipping. The test involves saving a data file from the GC to the memory card and then transferring it to a PC. The test concludes when delete the file from the memory card and then upload the same file to the memory card to confirm integrity. The file is then deleted from the memory card.

| Crusader (1): Awesome card |

| This memory card is really amazing. I was quite hesitant to buy this at first, because it looks kinda rough and all, and I don't like the thought of losing my data at all. Well I have had this for about 6 months now and I am still amazingly happy with it. First of all, its got over 1000 pages, so you can keep almost every saved game on there for every game you own. Secondly, you can back it up to your computer if you feel like it. I have lost a file once, but I was fooling around but to be on the safe side if you get it, don't throw away your old memory cards, keep them around for emergencies. The card also sometimes acts like it lost everything, when in reality it did not, so don't get too freaked out. Anyway, bottom line is there is no reason to throw away your money buying numerous 251 or 59 cards, I suggest this highly. |

| With the constant worry about losing data and especially third party memory cards I was weary about getting this. I have had it for a year now and have never lost a save. I have had more fun than I can imagine trading saves on line, especially mario kart ghost. I joined this site, http://www.gci.net.tc/ and found a group of people who could answer all my questions about the card and help me get any saves I need.
This is a must have for anyone who considers themselves a hardcore gamer. |
