Update: Dec 09, 2004 Bandai ships Gundam vs Z-Gundam this week on both Gamecube and PS2. The PS2 version features online play while the Gamecube version's advantage is 4-player simultaneous quad-screen play. The high polish and speed of the Gundam AEUG vs Titans engine returns in an updated game where new Mobile Suits are featured and a special campaign mode may be played. The game consists primarily of slash, dodge, and dash in assorted missions on terra and in space. The game screen is relatively uncluttered with a radar on the upper right portion of the screen, weapon systems on the lower-right, and energy bars around the upper-left corner and bottom of the screen. Fast paced and brisk, battles move along in speedy action where Gundam suits dash up close for sword attacks or jet away to fire off cannons or another long range attack. Playable suits in the game include the Guntank, Z'Gok, ZZ Gundam, RMS-099 Rick Dias, Qubeley, and many more. Choose a mobile suits on the side of the Federation, Zeon, AEUG, or Titans and battle against others on the opposing side. The main mode in the game is Universal Century mode where players go through the chronology of the Gundam mythos and new paths may be forked by winning key battles and engagements.
