Hudson updates their classic Star Soldier shooter by shifting it to 3-D. Viewed from an overhead 3/4 perspective, Star Soldier looks and plays somewhat similarly to Raycrisis or the earlier Axelay. Official Hudson News Release

The new title features pristine 3D graphics, top-rate audio, and exceptional playability. Delilah, Lazaro and the rest of your favorite enemies are back as you try once again to blast your way through opponents and obstacles. The points system includes fast-fire bonuses, squadron-kill bonuses, and a bonus for destroying Lazaro pre-transformation, just like in the original. The gameplay is perfect for beginners and experts alike, and everyone is sure to enjoy the new high-powered blaster weapon and the two-player fire assist system.
