«©NCSX» The bobbleheads of summer return to the field for a twelfth season along with all 12 professional teams such as the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks and the Yomiuri Giants in tow. The complete 2005 roster of 520 active players are also represented and positioned on the field as they normally are during the regular season. Once a proper game starts, an announcer regales the crowd with details of the upcoming exhibition while the teams bumble out onto the field. If the player's pitcher is on the mound, the camera slowly pans to a viewpoint behind the pitcher and it's game on. New modes in the game include Baseball Class where rookies may hone their pitching, batting, and academic skills through three stages before receiving a passing grade. Then there's an online mode where players may trade players, engage in tournaments, and post team rankings. A new system implemented in Powerful Pro 12 takes into account the mental state of a player. For example, if his performance is good on the field, his spirits will be high. If he whiffs on every strike, his mental state will be in the doldrums. In the My Life mode of the game, players live out an entire career from rookie to old timer which may span the course of two decades. Start from the position of a wide-eyed player to a seasoned professional and experience the life and times between those two milestones. View the back cover and screenshots.
