«©NCSX» Based on a wildly popular manga series from Weekly Jump, Naruto follows the story of a young ninja at the outset of his training under the watchful eye of his sensei Kakashi. Along with two fellow students named Sakura and Sasuke, the trio form Team 7 and go on various missions and inevitably encounter ardent foes. Fierce fighting, special techniques and ninja skills are in full force when flipping the pages of the manga. Naruto's inner gift comes from his "reincarnation" of a mighty Nine-Tails Fox Demon which had the ability to start tsunamis by swishing a mere tail. Over a decade ago, the Fox Demon attacked Naruto's village but was defeated when an elite ninja sealed the demon inside Naruto when he was a newborn.

Tomy's cel-shaded fighting game offers fairly fast action with chain attack combos and special projectile attacks. Battles take place inside enclosed rings against daytime and night backdrops. The obvious attraction of the game lies in the brand name but Tomy's reputation for quality action titles should attract general audiences as well as Naruto fanboys.

Please note that new restock shipments of Naruto do not include the bag shown in the photograph.

Anonymous: Almost as good as the sequel
I got Naruto 1 after Naruto 2 and both games are great. I like Naruto 2 better because it has more characters but both games play pretty similar. I got an orange bag with Naruto 2 but I didn't get the black bag with Naruto 1 which hurts my collection but I guess I got it too late. Oh well.

This game is pretty good, the only thing wrong with it is...NOT ENOUGH CHARACTERS!!. It really hurts the replay value of the game and the unblockable supers are a bit annoying. But if your a Naruto fan like myself you'll get a kick out of this game,But if your a hardcore fighting gamer like my roommates you might kick it right out of the window. I have very high hopes for Naruto 2 coming out in a couple of days!! yhea!
Frank Oda Abraham (3): Naruto ROCKS!
