The second volume of Famitsu PSP includes a bonus Tenchi no Mon UMD which is packaged in a separate PSP game case with nifty insert and 4-page game manual. The game is playable and gamers may experience the sword slashing action before the game ships to retailers next month. In Tenchi no Mon, players take control of a swordsman who runs around detailed towns and wilderness settings and hacks/slashes at opposing swordsman. Jumping and spinning attack moves are available where the hero swishes to and fro, vanquishing hapless enemies wherever he goes. There's also a gliding thrust move where the swordsman flies a short distance with weapon held out before him, poking whatever gets in his way. In the pages of the magazine, readers may flip through previews of Monster Hunter Portable, Viewtiful Joe, Breath of Fire III, Rockman Dash, Metal Gear Acid 2, and many other upcoming releases. Near the middle of the magazine, there's a page of decals for games such as Panic Bomber, Baku-No, Coded Arms, and Adventure Player. The back pages of the magazine check out the latest UMD videos, UMD music discs, and PSP accessories. NCS prices the issue at US$19.50 which includes shipping with Media Mail service within the USA. Please ignore the shipping quote at checkout - it will be refunded back to you.
