«©NCSX» Once upon a time, there was a quaint kingdom with cottages and clean streets. In that kingdom lived a red-haired princess and an extravagant king in green robes. One day, the royal treasurer unrolls a parchment and informs the king that the royal family is not only destitute but in debt. Mortified and plunged into a state of angst, the Princess runs away and sleeps in the forest for the night. She continues traveling until she reaches the kingdom of Ordre. Once there, she figures out that the only way to rebuild the family fortune is by learning alchemy and bringing honor back to her kingdom.

The Premium Edition of Lise no Atelier includes a bonus lime-colored desktop clock with a figure of Lise's mascot Coron to the side.

NCS Game Notes
» At the outset of the game, Princess Lisette Lander is in her one-room studio which contains her bed to the north, items on the left and a two-story library on the right. In the center of the room is a heat source which looks like a metal conical canister. A blue-haired boy named Alf Octrhein arrives to welcome her and encourage her on her new path to riches. Lise literally has dollar signs in her eyes during their conversation.

» Small snippets of voice acting from the actress who intonates for Lise may be heard from time to time.

» Movement of Lise may be inputted through the D-pad or by tapping a point on the touch screen and Lise will obediently walk over.

» To exit the studio, move Lise towards the door and three other areas in town may be visited. To return to Lise's studio, tap on the bar on the upper-left corner of the touch screen. A total of eight areas are listed and the other four areas are blocked by questions marks and not available for visiting yet. The first area is a market of sorts where two vendors are waiting. The orange-haired girl on the right side of the stall greets Lise cheerfully and sells tools, vegetables, books, and even fish. The old man at the left side stall sells weapons and armor. Lise starts the game with 2500 credits which is enough to get her started and stocked up.

» Another area that may be visited is a cathedral with beautiful stained glass windows. Special herbal ingredients may be purchased at the cathedral.

» As you meet people in town, they'll be added to Lise's friends book where they're listed with an image, a photo, and a short description. Lise has two other books that records her data - an ingredient/recipe book and a monster book.
