Update: May 1, 2006 «©NCSX» Ever mindful of the changing gaming landscape and how it affects their business, Hori releases a LCD screen protector for the Nintendo DS Lite. In addition to protecting the screens from smudges, peanut butter, and the occasional rivulet of spittle from your open maw, the silicon-based NDS screen protector also cuts down on any glare from overhead light sources that might otherwise ruin a rollicking good time. Finally, the touch screen filter offers a little bit of additional friction to alleviate stylus slippage. Similar to other screen filters, the two-piece accessory sticks to the NDS screens by way of static cling instead of messy adhesives. To ensure proper application, detailed instructions and a little cloth is included inside the package so the installer may rub out any bubbles that appear during the filter lay-down. The NDS is subject to smudges and scratches during the normal course of use. To prevent scratches on the screens, Hori ships a thin and flexible plastic film which is placed directly over the Nintendo DS' LCDs. Before installing the filter, we recommend cleaning the screens with a slightly damp, lint-free cloth to rid it of any dust and/or oily fingerprints. A dust cloth is included in the Hori filter package which would be suitable as well. Application Technique for NDS Screen Filter 1) Clean the NDS screens as mentioned above 2) Once dry, locate the NDS filter with the red tab and position it over the top NDS screen so that the red tab is at the lower-right corner. Remove the backing from the top screen filter by pulling on the transparent oval tab on the bottom of the filter and hold the filter by its edges. 3) Place one corner of the filter to the corresponding NDS screen corner and slowly lay it all down. 4) The slow application helps to prevent air bubbles. As you lay the screen down, you may also rub the top of the filter with the included cloth as it hits the screen to push out any potential air bubbles. 5) If air bubbles do appear after application, use the cloth to rub them out or lift up the screen entirely to retry. 6) Once the application is satisfactory, pull on the red tab to remove the second backing from the screen filter and you're done with the top screen. 7) Find the NDS filter with the white tab and position it over the bottom NDS screen so that the white tab is on the bottom and to the upper right. 8) Pull on the tab to remove it and then lay the filter down on top of the NDS touch screen and rub out any air bubbles as described above. Low cost shipping if ordered alone Please note that NCS will ship the screen protector to U.S. customers with regular first class mail in a padded envelope at a shipping cost of $2.00 if ordered alone. Please disregard what the checkout shipping cost is, since we cannot edit it to show $2.00. The difference will be refunded to your credit card. If you reside outside of the USA, we will still ship with the lowest cost possible in a normal padded letter. This document is ©NCSX 2006. All rights reserved.
