Please note the Hori Gamecube digital controllers are sold out. Thanks. ASCII went back in time to the era of Sega Genesis and Saturn to find inspiration for their line of ASCII Fighting Pads. Hori's muse hearkens back to the Super Famicom days for design pointers on their new digital controller for Gamecube. With relevant buttons matching those of the original GC controller on the right side and trigger buttons on the top, a single D-pad takes up real estate on the left. This item is also known as: Hori Digital Controller.

| This controller feels great. It really takes me back to the old school days of the SNES and works wonderful with fighting games. Another great use for this is for the GB Player and with the NES games on the Zelda Collector's Edition. The GBA and NES games were clearly not designed for use with an analog controller which presents problems and the digital pad on the normal GCN controller just doesn't feel right, but with this controller it feels almost perfect. I highly reccomend it to anyone who has a GB Player. |

| Nintendo should have made these pads for the Cube instead of those that come with the box. I hated the Nintendo 64 controller and Im not too crazy about the Gamecube controller. The Super NES pad was just right and I am happy that these are being sold so I have an option. I also want to see more colors but I got the black pad which looks good. Can anyone tell me if there is a extension cord for Gamecube joypads? The cord is long but I need it a little bit longer. |

| I got one of these to prepare for Soul Calibur 2 USA version which comes out in late August. The normal Cube controller doesn't go well with fighting games but this one seems better suited for pulling off combos. I'm a fan of the old gaming consoles and I always thought the SNES controller which this is based on was one of the best designed pads ever. It was comfortable, easy to hold and the little rounded bottom parts were good grips. I might also get a Soul Calibur 2 joystick but
can anyone write a review for that so I can read about how well it works?
I read the other reviews and I checked some other sites but there are only two colors for this pad. I would like to get a silver pad also but Hori does not make one yet. |
