Update: September 29, 2005 The Filter Portable Plus is an enhanced version of the original Hori Screen Filter which covers the screen of the PSP with a crystal clear, protective film. Two additional pieces of film are included which protect the left and right sides of the PSP from grimy fingerprints and other unsightly smudges. The application method is simple but NCS' instructions are as follows:Screen Filter Application 1) Use the included cloth to wipe any dust from the PSP screen and any smudges from the face of the PSP. 2) Take hold of the screen film and pull on the clear oval tab to remove the backing. Grip the film by its edges, taking care not to touch the bottom. 3) Lay the screen film on top of the PSP screen with the red rectangular tab located on the lower right side of the PSP screen. 4) Rub out any air bubbles by using the cloth. 5) Gently pull on the red tab and lift it up to remove. 6) If dust motes have accidentally scattered across the bottom portion of the filter, use a piece of scotch tape to lift them up before application. Face Filter Application 1) The filter with the red tab goes on the face button side and the filter with the blue tab goes on the D-pad side. 2) Peel the face button filter from its backing and lay the lower-right side of it down first. Slide the rest of it over the PSP. Rub out any bubbles. Once acceptable, peel the red tab away. 3) Follows the instructions above for the D-pad side application but pull on the blue tab once done. Once applied, the Filter Portable Plus competently prevents smudges from ever soiling the face of the PSP again. Since your oily fingers will continue to contact the D-pad and face buttons, those will still become gooey but they don't smudge or appear as unsightly as the other face portions of the PSP. A few photos of proper film orientation may viewed.
