Update: February 22, 2008 Since our last update for the Virtua Stick High Grade, Sony has released a firmware update for the PS3 which allows the joystick to be used with PS2 software. PC and MAC gamers can also use the controller but note that Windows users will need to re-map the joystick before it can be used properly. Update: March 14, 2007 Please note that the Virtua Stick High Grade only works with PS3 games. It is incompatible with PS2 software played on the PS3.
Update: Preorder Write-up «©NCSX» One month after Virtua Fighter 5 ships to market in Japan, a special Virtua Fighter joystick joins the party. The stick uses Sanwa parts and follows the design principles of the early Hori Playstation controllers with an expansive base and buttons that are arranged in neat rows. The construction material has not been disclosed yet but based on the photo, we're guessing the controller features a PVC and with a laminated metallic top that's bolted down with four lugs on each corner. Please note the VF5 joystick connects to the PS3 by way of USB cable and does not support wireless play. Pricing is set at JPY7200 or US$109 from NCS. The price reflects the high cost of importing heavy controllers with overnight service from Nihon.
