Hori uses the same mold and form factor from the Dead or Alive 3 joystick to craft their latest Xbox creation dubbed the Fighting Stick EX. Unlike that earlier DOA3 specific controller which featured a mere four buttons, the new model places all eight buttons on the unit and throws in a clicky joystick with green lollipop knob. A memory card port located on the back of the unit accepts a standard Xbox card and a lengthy 8' cord allows for range in your seating arrangements. Generally, NCS disfavors clicky sticks but given the reluctance of ASCII to product the FT2 for the Xbox, the Hori controller will have to do for now. Overall, the quality is good with a sturdy base and solid construction quality but we would have preferred a more tactile response from the somewhat mushy buttons and a quieter (non-clicky) stick.

| Awesome stick! It will take some time getting adjusted to for those who are unfamilar with the japanese style joystick. Overall a VERY GOOD stick. I love it.

| I actually prefer "clicky" sticks, but that's mainly because I love the Agetec DC stick and the original NEO GEO stick. It's solid, sturdy, and most of all, XBOX Live compatible. Great for SC2, CvS2, and DOA3. I highly recommend this stick! |

| I'm not bothered too much by the clicking of this joystick and I like the weight of it. Feels heavy duty. The buttons are really low to the level of the joystick and I find myself tapping them harder than normal since I want to make sure they're being hit. Other than that, it's a good quality joystick but I noticed that the stick is a little looser than what I'm used to with ASCII controllers like the Fighting Stick 2. Its like Hori broke it in for me ;p. |
