Latest revision (Code base updated on 08/05/01) of the Dreamcast mod that only requires 4 wire connections from chip to Dreamcast pcboard. Chip is a custom coded programmable logic device which enables any Dreamcast (USA, EUR, JPN) to play DC software from any of the other territories. At this time, this is the only 100% solution to play all imports. Simple, easy to follow and universal installation instructions so that one way fits all DC console models and firmware revisions.

Kit includes the following items:

1) Solder - A strip of .015 diameter silver-bearing solder
2) Wired Chip - prewired and ready for installation
3) Adhesive pad - for mounting chip

How to tell if your DC can be modified
1. Open up the Dreamcast console by removing the four screws that hold the case together.

2. Once opened, check if the GD-Rom is attached to the rest of the Dreamcast by a metal base and three screws. If so, your Dreamcast can be modified.

A Katana v2.1 Dreamcast which cannot be modified has a GD-Rom that is attached to the rest of the DC by a plastic base and multiple wires.
