Update: January 18, 2006 ©NCSX▪ Hungry zombies roll once again in a dual screen remake of the original Biohazard game from the Playstation. The DS' lower screen displays the action-adventure while the upper screen shows a map of the immediate area. Use gunshots to blow up birds, dogs, and zombies as they ramble along with evil intent. The sound effects add spooky atmosphere and the English voice acting from the original game returns for a entertaining recreation of stoicism. The original black & white live-action intro is also included in the Classic Mode. Biohazard gave gamers a fright when it was released ten years ago and the 3D horror-adventure genre was launched. Capcom gave evil a cracked and decaying face - the visage of undead zombies who chomped on flesh and ambled along in slow and determined fashion. After a couple of rehashes on the Sega Saturn and most recently the Gamecube, Capcom gives it another go with a dual screen version of their horror adventure where Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine reprise their roles inside a house of horrors. The zombies aren't necessarily more intelligent but like mice bolstered with double loop feedback, they do learn to bypass obstacles quicker to reach the protagonist. The Rebirth Mode in the game focuses more on the action aspect of the game where zombies and animals may be attacked with a knife by slashing the stylus across the screen. The puzzles in the Rebirth mode have also been updated to beguile old hands to Biohazard. Multiplayer action is available for Cooperative and VS modes where 2-4 players participate at once.
