NCS Game Notes » The Playstation Portable version of KuruKuru Chameleon featured a horizontal aspect ratio per the screen of handheld. Since the Nintendo DS is more of a TATE aspect handheld, the playboards are vertical aspect and utilize both DS screens. » At the outset of a standard game, players select one of four sisters and then battle her siblings in color spinning action. A chameleon on a hexagram serves as the starting point for each player. A wooden board appears with colored hexagrams on top of it. To start, look at the hexagram colors that are next to your chameleon and then tap a matching color on the available selections to change your chameleon to that color. Any contiguous hexagram that matches the color that you selected will be imprinted with your chameleon seal. By slowly converting hexagrams to your chameleon's side, players win by dominating 50% of the playboard. » Gauges on the left side of the screen keep track of territory percentages conquered. » If the player converts a line of hexagrams to a certain color and "encases" other hexagrams below the demarcation line, all of the hexagrams below will change color.
