Update:September 01, 2006 «©NCSX» The impish Tingle is a rupee collecting jester who travels around the land collecting coin. Light-footed and blessed with a joyful disposition, Tingle evokes feelings of revulsion love and appreciation from all who witness his greedy antics. In the NDS game, Tingle roams around the world collecting rupees in a bid to elevate a tower to the heavens where lovely ladies are generous with kisses and libations flow like Deer Park Spring Water. Rupees may be collected directly or obtained by trading in valuable items. Tingle may also go on missions to earn generous amounts of the shiny gem-like rupees. By throwing rupees into a magic pool of water at the center of the cylindrical tower, the spire rises ever higher into the sky to reach the paradise that Tingle so desires. NCS Game Notes » As the game begins, Tingle is lying at the center of his humble abode, facing away from the viewer. He scratches his butt with his left hand while his right hand cradles his melon of a head. After a short while, he gets up and walks around. To the north, a ladder goes up but it's not accessible yet. To the south, Tingle may exit his home and walk around outside. Two paths to the right of his home that lead out of the area are not accessible yet but to the left of his house is a sign which indicates a pool is near. Walk to the left past some leaves and enter a new area with a sparkling pool of water in the center of the screen. » Tap on the pool and a sequence plays where the top NDS screen shows an old man named Rupee-ji standing atop the clouds. Rupee-ji sports a noggin that's shaped like a fleshy rupee and he charges Tingle with the collection of rupees which he will throw into the pool of water. By doing so, a tower will erupt from the ground and rise to the heavens to fulfill all of Tingle's fantasies and dreams. Once in paradise, Tingle can enjoy top notch food, relax on a beach chair with drinks, and draw loving attention from adoring ladies. Upon his acceptance, Rupee-ji blasts two bolts of energy down on Tingle and the 35-year old man is transformed into a green spandex wearing pixie. To start him off on his quest with a warm welcome, Rupee-ji grants 100 rupees to Tingle's reserve and bids him adieu. » To start the offerings of rupees, tap on the pool again and then tap 10 on the keypad followed by ok. Tingle throws the 10 rupees into the pool and turns around to giggle in his squeaky impish way. When he exits to the right, he is greeted by a big breasted fairy with a tat on her right bicep named Pingle. She's his familiar with the job of guiding Tingle through the adventure and speaks to Tingle through the terminal in his house. Near the entrance of his house, Tingle can find a green ingredient to use in his cooking pot. » Inside Tingle's home, the pixie can check out a stove, a terminal, a cylindrical contraption, and a wall display unit. » CONTROLS The d-pad or the face buttons may be used for movement. On the face buttons, the controls are as follows: X..........UP A..........RIGHT Y..........LEFT B..........DOWN The stylus is used to tap on objects on the screen to pick them up or to activate actions. » There's a rudimentary battle system in the game where the green-clad hero runs into a creature and then a scrambling attack occurs. To help Tingle fight, tap on the beast with the stylus to damage it. For non-Japanese readers In the early part of the game when the old lady hands Tingle an easel and asks him to scribble, you're supposed to doodle a few lines on the touchscreen map exactly where the shrine is located on the upper screen. Once done, the shrine is revealed on the overhead map. This document is ©NCSX 2006. All rights reserved.
