Update: April 24, 2006 2:05PM The bonus Contact Pouch is no longer available. Thanks.Update: March 31, 2006 A restock shipment of Contact that arrived today included the bonus NDS carrying pouch and we will include it with all new orders while supplies last. We will update our product listing again once we have given all the pouches away. If you ordered Contact yesterday and did not receive a pouch due to the allocation, we will ship one to you at no additional charge. Update: March 30, 2006 «©NCSX» A rickety old scientist named Professor Hakase shouldn't be faring through space but there he is - glasses and white hair - chugging through the cosmos. When things go awry, he makes an emergency landing on the surface of a planet and the heavy element power cells from the ship are flung to the far reaches of the world. Lacking the vim to hunt down the power cells himself, the scientist recruits a spiky-haired lad named Terry who travels the world to search for them. The conflict in the plot structure comes from a competing group of ne'er do wells who are also searching for the cells which may afford them the power they need to terrorize the world. In Contact, the player serves as the conduit between the wizened scientist on the top NDS screen and Terry on the bottom screen where the oddly apportioned fellowship navigates the world, hunts for monsters, and performs in action-packed battles. The graphics on the top screen consist of clean and crisp hand drawn artwork while the bottom screen shows the game world with lush and beautifully rendered graphics. CONTACT features two systems for Terry to complete his mission: 1) Seal System - Apply seals to Terry so that special skills and attacks are enabled. 2) Costume System - Wear various uniforms to acquire special skills such as pilot, fisherman, and firefighter. Battles are not directly controlled by the player. Although Terry is moved by the player, attacks are chosen and then meted out by Terry automatically as he is moved towards enemies. Some early preorders shipping today will include an aqua-blue NDS carrying pouch with drawstring which features Terry on the front and the leader of the terrorist group on the back named Mint. Unfortunately, we didn't receive enough to include with every order. View the back cover and screenshots on the main NCSX website. NCS Game Notes * In the title screen, the Professor is typing up a storm on a keyboard but the terminal in front of him only shows a static screenshot of PONG. To interupt his reverie, tap the stylus on the professor to knock him down and grab his attention. * When the Professor addresses the player, he makes strange grunting sounds.
