Update: August 10, 2006 «©NCSX» Targeted at Japanese junior high school students interested in learning English, IE Institute's Chuugaku Eitango Target 1800 DS teaches the proper pronunciations and meanings of 1,800 words. Eager learners may diligently practice their English language skills in the "Self Study Mode" and flip through a group of words in order to burn them into memory. Each word is pronounced by the software and the definition is shown. Once you're somewhat confident, enter the "Test Mode" and listen to a voice as it pronounces a word. Write down the letters that make up the word and you're on your way to becoming fluent. To break up the tedium of scholastic exercises, two English learning mini-games may be enjoyed as well.
