Update: May 17, 2006 «©NCSX» Exercise the right hemisphere of your brain with over 40 Gunbullet™ inspired mini-games. Instead of a light gun however, players wield the stylus and tap through interactions which tax the intuitive and subjective parts of one's cognitive processing skills. Some examples of games are as follows:» Targets appear against a backdrop - tap the red or blue ones » Stare at two nearly identical pictures and tap the differences » Defend a Gunbullet guy from UFOs that are about to abduct him » Shoot skittering crabs as they slide across four sandy ledges » Tap at moving targets while serene mountains sit in the background » Five cards appear on a casino's table and tap the highest ranking card » A target animal appears - tap it as quickly as possible in a crowd of animals » Tap only on the red birds that fly and swim across the screen » Red and blue discs are flipping in space. Only tap them when they're red » Animals are shot out of cannons - tap the target animals as indicated » Sheep are bounding across a meadow. Tap the wool off their backs » Two snakes are slithering . Tap on the circular body portions » Cavemen push stacks of numbers. Tap the numbers from lowest to highest » Walk through a hotel corridor and only tap on the criminal element » Skeet shooting with what appears to be an old school skeet game » Barn doors flip open - tap only on the little chicks which are flapping wings » Tap on the pop-up targets while the screen scrolls from left to right » Simon Says tap the targets in the order that was just demonstrated » Shoot thieving alien invaders who are lugging gear back to their UFO » Alligators emerge from tunnels and its your job to tap them back » Destroy beehives and then destroy the angry bees that emerge » Bust up the skeletons that leap, hang, and clown onscreen » Shoot a buzzing fly as it wings its way through a room of valuables » Tap on tadpole-shaped fireworks as they vault up into the night sky » Blast at thugs but not the innocents who pop up on a train station » Tap at the little duckies as they flow downriver » Destroy a plummeting satellite before it reaches the ground » Ninja and geisha are on the screen - shoot only the evil ninja View the back cover and screenshots on the main NCSX website. NCS Game Notes » After every tap, a firing sound may be heard followed by the clink of a dropped bullet shell. » Gunbullet Trainer allows players to save their progress and score on a daily diary to check their level of improvement over the course of weeks or months. » Finishing each mini-game prompts chattering music to play which is slightly annoying but we sampled it and have installed the ditty as a ring tone on one of our phones. It sounds like the singers are saying "Chuggy-Chuggy-Cha-Cha" over and over again. » After completing a series of brain exercises, the professor and his green bird gives their assessment of your brain condition. If you score particularly low, the good professor stands there shaking his head and acting doleful. If you perform well, he'll stand there wide eyed and in an approving manner. » Brain Training games have been the rage recently in Japan but Gunbullet Trainer is the first to use fast-paced mini arcade games to test the right brain facilities of its players. If this is the beginning of a new trend, we'd like to see Robotron, Joust, and other retro code used in testing the quick tapping reflexes and mental acumen of gamers the world over.
