Update: October 25, 2006 «©NCSX» The term "common sense" implies a universal understanding or knowledge that should be second nature to anyone of average intelligence. Some examples: Walking when the light is green, avoiding 20' boa constrictors, wearing woolens when cold winds blow, eating when hungry, washing when dirty, and so on and so forth. To test the common sense of everyday Japanese folk, Nintendo releases a common sense trainer which features about 2000 questions that test the acumen of players in such areas as manners, economic principles, and other social intelligence questions which don't hew to a cut and dry academic background. Five genres of questions are featured which test questions in quiz form as follows: Propriety", "Wisdom", "Society", "Regulations", and "Education". Within these main genres, categories of questions range from "Physiology", "Geography", "Art", "Language," and "Music". For multiple player quiz action, up to four players may link up to 1 NDS with the game and see who can answer the questions the fastest. As tests are taken, players view their development and progress through the charting utility of the software which keeps track of one's performance. Please note this product is entirely in Japanese and character input and entry may be made in kanji. Nintendo recommends practicing and testing 10 minutes each day which is sufficient to build up one's common sense if you've little to begin with. After a test, players may review their answers and look at what was answered wrong and learn what the answer was along with a detailed explanation so you'll know next time and have the common sense for every day usage.
