Collecting Japanese, European, Chinese, Italian, and Fusion recipes, NDS owners get a chance to learn how to prepare delicious dishes through the interactive touch screens of the NDS. Along with the name and instructions, the calories per serving is also shown to ensure that you're watching your caloric intake. From the dessert menu, we're anxious to test the Banana Cupcake and Coconut Parfait. Despite the appeal of the dishes within, please note that this product is entirely in Japanese and knowledge of the language is required in order to read and prepare the dishes within. | YumiBr (1): Small refrigerator |
 |
| If you aren't Japanese or near a Japanese market, this might be hard to use. First, the kanji is very tiny and smashed together so looking up the translations can lead to hairpulling. Also, they include ingredients like Jew's ear which we may be able to get dried in a Chinese market, and konbucha. I hope you know what that is, othewise you'll have to ask your Japanese market where it is. If you can jump those hurdles, then you can use the recipes. Next, the refrigerator only holds 50 items so no standing in the kitchen and entering everything in it. I put the fresh stuff in, hit recipes and then find out what I need. It would be better if I could have a bigger list of items to use. I guess if you put too much in, you'll get too many recipe choices. Is it worth the money? Maybe if you are in Japan and can read kanji related to cooking. Kanji dictionaries and word dictionaries are not very helpful. |
