«©NCSX» Rotate the NDS counterclockwise by 90 degrees and watch, read, and listen to the three non-interactive stories collected in the Inukami! Digital Sound Novel by Mamizu Arisawa. You're relegated to the role of a passive viewer but you can fetter out 70 special TIPS cards after reading special sentences during the tale telling. When certain cards are found, the reader may engage in mini-games, a card battle, or answer questions in quiz format. The first story consists of 242 pages which you flip through by tapping on the PLAY arrow on the touch screen. Each story features at least 50 backgrounds, 30 illustrations, 20 BGM, and 10 characters from the Inukami! series. The voice actors from the animated series also provide the screeching intonations of the characters in each story. » The first story consists of 242 pages which you paginate through by tapping on the upside down PLAY arrow on the touch screen. The text may also be pushed forward by tugging on the D-pad to move the story along. Four other icons are positioned on the bottom of the screen as follows: 1) Curvy arrow: Rewind the text and review the entire story from the beginning if desired
2) Square icons: View unlocked cards available from 0/80 and 14 pages
3) X Button: Tap to clear the icons for an unfettered look
4) Wrench Icon: Game options, save/load data » Each story features voice acting and static screens of artwork. The novels are text heavy with Japanese kana that appears on the touch screen in horizontal strips. » DS Dengeki Bunko Inukami! is based on a novel and animated series where powerful creatures that look like dogs adopt human form and seek out and destroy evil. Together with a clan capable of summoning these creatures, they exist as destroyers of evil in the world. In the first episode of the animated series, a girl binds a creature with chains from a swing and manifests fire from her fingertip which she then blows at the beast to destroys it. The main heroine Inukami is a girl named Youko and her human partner is Keita Kawahira. One distinguishing attribute on Youko is the bushy green tail that protrudes from her backside. » The NDS game marks the second Inukami digital novel - the game characters speak with voices provided by the actors from the animation. In addition to the story mode which contains 3 episodes a number of mini-games may be enjoyed. » As you read the digital novel, TIPS cards may be found in the composition of the story with over 70 cards that may be ferreted out.
