Update: February 7, 2007 «©NCSX» Take to the skies in one of 20+ jetfighters and take on enemy squadrons in a somewhat routine flight combat action game. An invading air force from Mardoch is on the rampage and launches an assault on your country of Surans. To beat back the marauders, lead an offensive and engage the enemy in dogfights and other sorts of aerial conflict. Weapons that are available include missiles, artillery fire, and bombs along with more exotic ordnance. A total of 19 missions are featured in the game including simple seek and destroy skirmishes, bombing runs where enemy bases are taken out, and attacks on a massive enemy aircraft carrier. Before each mission starts, a primer and explanation is shown which details mission objectives and method of attack. Day and night missions are playable to mix up the theaters of war.View the back cover and screenshots on the main NCSX website. NCS Game Notes » The speech in the game is crisp and clear despite the limitations of the NDS game storage medium. » Before a mission, your jetfighter and wingmen are shown in formation as they thunder across the heavens. » Targets are automatically locked-onto by your weapon systems. When green, let loose with the missiles and watch as they stream to their appointed targets while vapor trails blow off behind them. » When in flight, all of the indicators, displays, and warning messages are in English. » The illusion of flight is fairly good with swiveling screens as your jet wings through the air. When your aircraft takes fire, the entire screen shakes and tumbles around to intensify the feeling of aerial combat. » When dive bombing submarines or other landlocked/sea-based targets, the action sequence is highly reminiscent of the dive bombing missions from the old Konami shooter, Ajax aka Typhoon.
