«©NCSX» In the Japanese novel and film titled Ringu, viewers who watch a spooky video on a cursed VHS tape die within seven days of the viewing. Square's Nanashi no Game from 2008 hews to the same style of curse. Hapless players who engage a cursed RPG are destined to die within seven days if they don't plow through the game and finish it. To make matters worse, neither a FAQ nor a walkthrough is anywhere to be found. The sequel to Nanashi no Game follows the same curse convention but this time, the protagonist is an 18-year old college student at Nara University who gets involved in the cursed RPG. To add to his folly, he also plays a second cursed game which is a side scrolling platformer for a double dose of the evil eye.
