Description
Update: January 31, 2008
«©NCSX» Mr ESC dashes from the PSP platform to the dual screens of the NDS for another situation-based action game where the primary goal is escape. At the outset, players commandeer Mr ESC with the touch pen or D-pad through 10 stages but an additional 90 stages may be unlocked. Some scenarios to conquer include a hotel inferno, a sinking luxury liner, and a mall that's in the throes of a major disaster. The early levels are straightforward but later levels introduce the use of items, the rescue of hostages, new techniques, and puzzles to solve in order to reach the exit.

The NDS game features a Wi-Fi ranking mode where players can compare their scores against those of other gamers.

NCS Game Notes
» The selections on the title screen are:

GAME PLAY / Engage one of 10 available situations; another 90 situations may be unlocked
OPTIONS / Adjust CONTROL and SOUND SETTING or access PROFILE VIEWER, STAFF CREDITS
WI-FI / Connect to another NDS and play a multiplayer game

» The first situation (Situation 1 Level 1) in the game is a simple training mission which teaches players rudimentary movements such as walking and jumping. In the default control mode, Mr ESC's movement is entirely handled through the stylus where he's tapped and then pointed in a direction of movement. For example, to stroll to the right, tap on Mr ESC and swish the stylus to the right in a smooth motion. To traipse down a flight of stairs, walk to the start of the steps and then direct the stylus downwards and Mr ESC will saunter down. You may also toggle the control mode in OPTIONS so that the D-pad is used for movement.

» Situation 1 Level 2 introduces fire pits which Mr ESC must leap over by taking a running jump. To run, press and hold the R-Trigger and then move in the direction desired. There's a crate that must be pushed and an overhang to crawl under.

» Situation 1 Level 3 adds the use of items to the gameplay such as a fire extinguisher and a rope. To pick up and use items, press the "A" button.

» Situation 1 Level 4 introduces the use of switches and levers which trigger events or effects along with an elevator.

» Situation 1 Level 5 adds hostages to the mix where the first person to save is a lassie. To beckon her to where you want her to go, press the L-Trigger which will command the person to come "Over Here" or "Stay Here"

» The NDS touch screen shows the action while the top screen features a map of the level which shows all elements on the stage along with the time countdown and current level.
