Utilizing the DS's internal microphone, you can become Phoenix Wright and yell "Hold it!" and "Objection!" to rattle witnesses and present evidence. Gameplay System: Psyche-Lock
When you interact with a witness that is hiding a secret or telling a lie, you can see the Psyche-Locks that prevent you from getting to the truth. Open the locks to gain valuable new information. But be careful, because if you fail you will be penalized, so make sure you present the right pieces of evidence to break the witness down. NCS Game Notes
» When the title screen appears, tap on the red button to toggle the game to English language. You'll hear Phoenix yell out "Objection!" and the title screen changes to the USA localization with the English title screen.» Episode 1 is titled "Turnabout Memories" which starts off with a rainy backdrop as someone wonders why he/she did something with someone on the floor. A flashback plays where Phoenix stumbles onto the body and mutters that he didn't do it. The following text appears: 5 years earlier "Mia Fey 2nd Trial April 11 9:40AM in District Court" and the location is Defendant Lobby No. 3. » It's Mia's second time in court and her first appearance was a year ago. She's defending a breathing-mask-wearing Phoenix Wright who has been accused of murder. Mia's nervous but she has a handler named Marvin Grossberg who reassures her and helps out with an errand later in the episode. Phoenix is wearing a white piece of cloth over his nose and mouth because he has a cold and doesn't want to spread the disease. The judge is the same as always, Payne is the prosecutor in his younger days when he had hair and a Fonzie look, and Mia cuts a striking figure on the defense stand. » Payne starts with an account of the incident which took place on the campus of Ivy University where a student named Doug Swallow was apparently murdered. He was a 4th year student studying Pharmacology. Evidence entered include a photo which shows the deceased lying on the ground, a broken umbrella, and a locket. The cause of death was electrocution and a photograph clearly shows Doug on the ground with an electrical cable dangling over his body.
