«©NCSX» After a sweaty day of beating back Angels, Rei Ayanami and Asuka Langley kick back and play some pachi-slot action. Originally released on the PS2 in September 2007 (sales were moderate at 60,000 units shifted), Evangelion pachi-slot dawns on the touch screen of the NDS. The game of pachi-slot is basically casino slots where you insert a credit and then pull the handle to set the spinners rolling. Match up bells, cherries, sevens, or other symbols for big winnings. While the slots are spinning on the touch screen, the top screen of the NDS depicts an Evangelion flavored event such as Asuka in a swimsuit playing volleyball or Misato engaged in a somber moment of reflection. » Upon starting a game, you'll be prompted to select either Rei or Asuka. Once your choice is tapped, the pachislot machine appears on the touch screen and Evangelion animation sequences start playing on the top screen. » To start playing pachi-slot, tap on the "MAX BET" button on the touch screen to insert credits into the machine. Next, tap on the little handle directly below the "MAX BET" button and the spinners will start rolling. Your job is to tap on the three orange-colored buttons below each spinner to stop it. The goal is to match three icons in a row to win extra credits and other prizes. » The animated sequences that play on the top screen are accompanied by background music, voice samples, and the occasional sound effect.
