Description
Update: November 13, 2008
«©NCSX» While wandering across a desert expanse, Shiren the Wanderer loses his composure and collapses on top of the sand while his pet ermine "Koppa" attends to him. Shiren lays there until he's discovered by two other wanderers who bring him back to a town that's home to a towering castle. Shiren and his pet are shackled inside a jail inside the castle but they're released by a mysterious blue-haired girl who unchains their bonds.

Inside that castle are dungeons which Shiren must explore and battle assorted armored soldiers. The game starts on the sixth floor of the tower and Shiren has to contend with enemy soldiers and head downwards by locating the stairs on each level. The third floor introduces traps which can cause Shiren to fall asleep at unfortunate times. Similar to the recent Shido Chocobo Dungeon game, the latest Fushigi no Dungeon features diagonal movement so Shiren can escape contiguous traps by moving between them in a NW, SW, SE, or NE direction.

Bonus Schwag
All preorders will ship with a bonus guide booklet which contains a bestiary, a listing of items and weapons in the game, and a short manga. Due to the 60% ratio allocation for the bonus from the publisher, new orders placed today will not receive the bonus. Sorry.

The full name of this game is Fushigi no Dungeon: Fuurai no Shiren DS 2 - Sabaku no Majou.

NCS Game Notes
» As the game progresses, Shiren finds out that the blue-haired girl who released them is a Princess named Ateka.

» The blue-armored guards on the sixth floor of the first dungeon are easily defeated with a single blow. The gold-armored guards in the lower floors are much more durable and difficult to defeat.

» Game commands, stats or tips are shown on the top screen while a faint map overlay of the current dungeon is shown on the touch screen. To toggle what's shown on the top screen, press the START button.

» At the outset, Shiren regains 1 HP for every 10 steps that he takes. As he levels up, he'll recover HP at a faster pace.

» If Shiren is defeated by a guard, he'll be dragged back to the front of his cell and then flung into it.
