Update: February 8, 2006 Please note that Candy Pink DS is currently sold out. We will update our site when we restock more units.Update: Nintendo unleashes Candy Pink NDS The familiar Nintendo strategy of releasing many console/handheld color variants returns this week with the launch of a Turquoise Blue and Candy Pink model. Similar to the standard platinum Nintendo DS, each package includes a stylus, a carrying strap, and a 100V USA/JPN AC adapter (part #NTR-002). Please note that this item is the Japanese version of the Nintendo DS handheld. The language setting may be switched to English which will also change the built-in Picto-Chat software to English. USA and Japanese Nintendo DS users may also Picto-Chat with each other without any concerns. Cartridge Compatibility The Japanese NDS will play USA Nintendo DS and Gameboy Advance games without any incompatibility problems. Please note however that older Gameboy and Gameboy Color games are not compatible with the Nintendo DS. Changing the language to English In the main NDS screen that appears after powering up and clicking once, you will see the time and calendar on the top screen and the Picto-Chat on the bottom screen. 1) Tap on the little NDS icon on the bottom of the lower screen 2) Tap on the wrench icon 3) Tap on the globe icon 4) Six boxes will appear 5) Tap on the first box on the upper-left corner marked "English" 6) Click the "A" button to confirm language change. Japan policy As with all import NDS units, please note that we are not able to return them to Nintendo of Japan because of dead pixels and screen aberrations such as differential brightness. For example, the brightness of the NDS screen may appear lighter than other parts of the screen. Due to their policy, please be advised that we will not accept import NDS units for return because of dead pixels and screen aberrations such as differential brightness. Sorry.
