Double boxing - NCS uses two cardboard containers for every NDS Lite shipment to avoid damage during shipping. The NDS Lite is packaged with bubble wrap inside an inner cardboard container which is then placed in a larger cardboard container.

Prices for the NDS Lite have dropped to more manageable levels and we are offering the three colors (Crystal White, Enamel Navy, and Ice Blue) for US$209 each. Shipments are scheduled to arrive on Wednesday.

If you are interested in proceeding with your preorder at the new price of US$209 + shipping, please contact us and we'll ship this Wednesday when the shipments arrive. New orders are also welcome to ship on Thurs-Friday.

If you prefer to continue waiting, no action is required on your part and we will continue to send email updates to you since additional price drops may be forthcoming in April and June as supplies stabilize.

«©NCS» After the official announcement last week, Nintendo's distributors have started preorders for the NDS Lite which ships on March 2, 2006. Slightly slimmer and sleeker than the swarthy girth of the current Nintendo DS, the Lite measures 133 x 73.90 x 21.50 mm (L x W x H) or 5.23 x 2.90 x 0.84" for us yanks. For comparison's sake, the original NDS rang in at 148.70 × 84.70 × 28.9mm or 5.85 x 3.33 x 1.13" stateside.

The NDS Lite tips the scale at 218g or 0.48 lbs compared to the original NDS' 275g or 0.60 lbs. In addition to its smaller size, the NDS Lite also features four adjustable levels of screen brightness. Pricing is set at Y16,800 or US$169 from NCS when the units ship in March.

Please note that NCS is accepting preorders for the crystal white, ice blue, and enamel navy shell versions (from top to bottom) of the NDS Lite today.

Japan policy
As with all import NDS units, please note that we are not able to return them to Nintendo of Japan because of dead pixels and screen aberrations such as differential brightness. Please note that it is the case that dead pixels are present in the NDS, NDS Lite, PSP, and other products that have LCD screens. With regards to the differential brightness issue, the brightness of the NDS screen may appear lighter than other parts of the screen. Due to Nintendo's policy, please be advised that we will not accept import NDS units for return because of dead pixels and screen aberrations such as differential brightness. By purchasing an NDS, you agree to accept this condition of sale. Sorry.
