Update: March 04, 2009 «©NCSX» Relakkuma, Korilakkuma, and a chick named Kiriroi-tori return to the world of video games in a new collection of challenges, interactive sequences, and other activities that would appeal to the grade school set. Admirers of Relakkuma may enjoy jigsaw puzzles, a Concentration card-matching game, and maintain a scrapbook of photos. When Relakkuma is eating, sleeping, or performing other actions, players can take snapshots and insert them into a digital photobook. Players who have a Wii Balance Board can use it to do yoga poses by following the bear characters on screen. At the outset of the game, Relakkuma is seated in his room next to a bed covered with bright yellow sheets. There's not much going on so hover the cursor over the bear and press the "A" button so that a question mark appears over him. Next, hover the cursor over the bed and press the "A" button again to make Relakkuma attempt to clamber onto the bed. Since he's a sloth-like ne'er do well, the simple act of going to bed turns into a Herculean task and players will watch as he topples backwards and lies prone. Sort of like a wooden plank. While the shenanigans are happening, gamers are supposed to press the "2" button to bring up the camera and take embarrassing snapshots of Relakkuma's clumsiness. Jan Code: 4536478000953 Region Lock-out Please note Japanese Wii games will not boot on USA or European Wii consoles due to the inherent region-lockout on Japanese Wii game discs. A Freeloader (and a Wii with 3.2U firmware) is required to play Japanese Wii games.
NCS Game Notes » After selecting the game from the channel menu, the splash screen shows Relakkuma relaxing on a pillow. » The introductory sequence also begins with Relaxuma relaxing on a pillow and chocolate chip cookies are strewn in a container before him. » The title screen featured a seated Relaxuma who holds a pillow in front of his belly. At least he's exerting some muscle control. » The game begins in Relaxuma's bedroom where he's seated on the floor adjacent to his bed. The Wii Remote is used to move a cursor and the "A" button is an action button. For example, to make Relaxuma try to climb onto his bed, hover the cursor over him and press the "A" button. Next, hover the cursor over the bed and press the "A" button again. Relaxuma will attempt to climb aboard and that's your cue to hold the Wii Remote horizontally and take snapshots as he clumsily moves and ultimately fails to hop on top of the bed. He'll have an easier time on the sofa which he gets on top of automatically and lies down like a Roman emperor. And so it goes with the photography. The camera mode can be activated at any time in the room by pressing the "2" button. When in camera mode, the "-" and "+" button on the Wii Remote are used to focus in and out of the scene. » After taking photographs of Relakuma at the bed, on the sofa, near the stool, and capturing them in a photo album, a new option opens up which gives players the ability to decorate Relakuma's room with new curtains, flooring, and a round table. Once the table is placed in the room, pancakes enter the picture. To place them on the table, click on the furniture icon (second selection from the top on the right side of the screen) and click on the pancake icon. An overview of the room will appear and you'll simply have to place the pancakes on top of the table. Return to the main room screen and click on Relakuma and then click on the pancakes and Relakuma can now partake of his daily sustenance with you snapping photographs as he eats. Make sure you get a shot of him with cheeks full and chewing. Choose the best photo and you'll get to add it to your album. Once that's done, Relakuma is gifted with a red television. Before placing the TV in the room however, Kiriroi-tori opens the door and waddles into the room bearing gifts - a red transistor radio, milk, and a bread box. » Now that Kiriroi-tori is in the picture, you can also make him walk over to the sofa, bed, etc and take snapshots of him to include in the photo album.
