A new model (SCPH-50001) Playstation 2 system for use with USA NTSC software only. The new PS2 removes the i.Link port but adds a built-in IR receiver, Progressive scan hardware support, DVD-R/-RW and DVD+R/+RW compatibility, and a quieter fan.

Please note that USA PS2 consoles can only play USA PS1/PS2 game software and Region 1 NTSC DVD movies.
