Since the tri-color PS2 spring bloom of 2003, color variants have been scarce. Aqua, Sakura and Silver were pretty colors to bring in the spring and buyers ate them up. But that was then. Sure, we were treated to a midnight blue PS2 a few months ago but since then, nada. That changes come December 5, 2003 when Sony boots two new color consoles onto the market to end the drought.
The first model is a Ceramic White console and the second is a PS2 console which seemingly shimmers with shiny gold patina. Along with the SCPH-55000 bling, Sony packs a copy of the upcoming Gundam AEUG vs Titans game, a special Universal Century vertical stand designed by Ogawara Kunio, two gold Dual Shock 2 joypads, a dark-blue Gundam memory card and the usual connector cables. Pricing in Japan stands at Y35000.
