Update: September 22, 2004 «©NCSX» While the world waits for Gran Turismo 4 (Expected Dec 2 in Japan, sans online play), Formula Fans get a jump on the latest racing game from SCE. F1 2004 features a collection of updated tracks, cars, upgraded AI (that cheats), and a career mode where players work their way up from lowly test driver to world champion. Show your mettle in eighteen races which are held in sixteen countries. As one explores the career mode, one notices that the computer-driven cars defy the laws of physics and tackle hairpin curves with innate ease while any human driver has to actually depress the brakes and slide to avoid flying off the track. Inevitable lackluster showings in a few races leads to demerits which in turn lead to demotions in rank. Continue to falter against competitors and your once promising career ends. Adept handling however leads to contracts with the top 10 racing teams from around the world who are eager to sign up new talent. Game modes include Arcade, Classic, Season, Simulation, Race Weekend, Time Attack, and a few others. View the back cover. This document is ©NCSX 2004. All rights reserved.
