From the publisher: Unleash the power of the Gods and embark on a merciless quest as Kratos, an ex-Spartan warrior driven to destroy Ares, the God of War. Armed with lethal double chainblades, Kratos must carve through mythology's darkest creatures - including Medusa, Cyclops, the Hydra and more, while solving intricate puzzles in breathtaking environments. Driven by pure revenge, nothing can stop Kratos from achieving absolution. NCS Game Notes * In the intro to the game, Kratos mutters to himself, "The gods of Olympus have abandoned me" and seemingly commits suicide as he plummets from a high mountain and falls downwards through a haze clouded abyss. Kratos had been a champion of the Gods. * The first battle takes place aboard a ship where undead warriors mount the attack. The first serious opponent appears below deck in the form of a monstrous sea serpent who attacks with thrusting blows and snarling demeanor. There's an on-the-fly mini-game that appears as the serpent is near death which shows off skillful attacks by the hero. When Kratos makes his way to the back of the ship, he'll see that two serpents are attacking the listing hulls of other ships. * Kratos' chainblade attacks may be sent out with normal or strong attacks. He'll swing the chains around so that they reach in front as well as behind him to dismantle foes that are crowding around. * As hero makes his way deeper into the ship, he'll encounter a second serpent. There's a button mashing sequence here where the "O" button must be tapped continuously to avoid being crunched by the serpent's jaws. If successful, Kratos will perform a power attack on the serpent. If botched, the serpent snaps its jaws and spits a bloodied Kratos into the deck of the ship. * Kratos' health regenerates slowly but power-ups may be picked up to regain full vim and vigor.
