Capcom owns a legendary library of classic and recent arcade software. To remind old timers of their esteemed gameography and to introduce a new generation to their retro classics, the company releases a DVD retrospective which checks out 107 games that Capcom released to arcades from 1984 to 2002 with screenshots and documentary footage. Viewers may flip through the arcade coin-ops in chronological order to check out the evolution of gaming genres and how the market eventually chose one type of game (2D-fighting) over all others. Games from the early years include titles such as 1942 and Bionic Commando while 1943 and F1 Dream shipped towards the late 80s. Memorable names such as Varth, Muscle Bomber, Mars Matrix, and all of the other 19XX shooters may also be viewed. Fans of fighting games may check out the entire Street Fighter series shown in all its glory from the original in 1987 to Street Fighter II in 1991. The many sequels such as Championship Edition, Turbo, the III Series, and Street Fighter Zero are also collected together. Creator interviews, player footage, and other information from the series are also included to round out the experience. The Vampire Saviour series, Rival Schools, Star Gladiator, Capcom vs SNK 1 and 2, and others also contribute to the fighting game extravaganza. View the back cover.
