Japanese speed racers just don't trick out their cars for a nightly run on Tokyo Metropolitan Highway ala Shutokou Battle, they can also go mountain racing. Like spirits of the rushing wind, darting cars knighted with names from Mazda, Nissan and Honda take on the winding roads of Akagi, Myogi, and Usui, among others. Is it fast and furious? Yes grasshopper, and then some. Fans of the previous Touge games will find the graphical enhancements pleasing and the handling similar to Touge incarnations ere. The GT Force Wheel is supported.

| I got this game recently and wasn't quite sure what to expect. Considering that the game was released in 2001 and not even on DVD-ROM, these graphics are very nicely done. The cars handle very well, and you can tune them to a certain extent. The courses are few, but each course allows different modes of play. I really liked the drift bar and the drift points that they incorporate into the game. Drift control isn't too difficult and does allow for some nice drifting. Overall, a decent game. |
