Stag features a side and rear firing mechanism where points are multiplied by II, IV, all the way up to XII by shooting enemy ships. So that's XII. Stag. Get it? In addition to the sideways and trailing ordnance, players may also release a bomb attack when caught in a tight spot or when the spray of buckshot gets a little too vicious. XII Stag represents one of the hottest looking shooters in recent memory but the firing mechanism for scoring bonus points can detract from the gameplay. This is especially true when you're hoping to ace the score multiplier up to the maximum of XII and lose focus on the overall progression of the game.
